Benedictine monks of the Olivetan Order as at Le Bec (see above). The monastery is situated in lovely country in the midst of this vast department of France, which has millions of trees. The Community organises retreats usually for groups but individuals who want a retreat for spiritual reasons are welcomed. Many ancient churches in the area. Nearby at the hilltop town of St. Sever there is an annual summer exhibition with demonstrations of the work of outstanding artisans, including bookbinding, woodturning and weaving.
