Boars Hill is an ideal location for this centre run by the Teresian Discalced Carmel Friars. The Centre, where a lot of new building has been done to offer even better facilities, stands in its own 17 acres of woodland. It aims to provide courses on prayer and spirituality, special attention being given to the teaching on prayer of the great Carmelite writers such as St. Teresa of Avila, St. John of the Cross and St. Teresa of Lisieux. There is an annual 'vocation' weekend open to all young men interested in the religious life and the Carmelites in particular. The programme of planned retreats and events is an exciting, intelligent and full one.
