Presbyterian Church of Wales
The centre, open to all, consists of a group of 18th-century buildings and a modern block, standing in five acres of grounds set in the Brecon Beacons National Park. It was once the home of Howell Harris (1714-1773), one of those who led the evangelical revival in Wales. Short retreats, guided group retreats, prayer, arts & crafts, ecumenical activities, holiday weeks for older folk and young people are usually on offer. There are healing retreats and sometimes a children's weekend. The programme brochure and retreats are in often both Welsh and English. A good place for a stimulating retreat, mixing with other like-minded people. See the website for the current programme. Operates principally on a group booking system but can take individuals on a B&B basis at any time and on a full board basis when a group is in residence.
