The main house of the charitable organisation It is high up in the mountains and not easy to find or get to. The Community of about 100 people here  live an austere life based on Gandhian principles – for example, without electricity.Open all year round. Receives men, women, young people, families and groups. Visitors join in the Community work and routines. If you do not know about the work of l’Arche which has houses in Britain and elsewhere, you may find it rewarding to find out, especially if you are young and want to help other people less fortunate than yourself within a community life context even if only for a short time.
