If someone asks, 'if you had to leave India where would you go?' I will say, 'to Pen Rhiw.' Shree Shivkrupanandji Swami Open Spirituality A fine, early Victorian rectory, Pen Rhiw has a particularly welcoming atmosphere, with secluded, tree-lined grounds and seven acres of wildflower hay-meadow and woodland garden. It is host to many creative groups and workshops from yoga to spirituality and a whole spectrum of the arts. Individual meditation retreats are on offer through the year, the aim is for peace and tranquility with guided Samarpan Meditation and experiences of sacred places on the St Davids Peninsula.
The history of the peninsula is shaped by the sea. All wrapped up
It's a precious ecological area, a wealth of wildlife on a tiny patch of the earth, a land of pilgrimage, beauty and peace. There's a heartbeat of the spirit here, tangible in monuments and moments.
Pen Rhiw has twenty bedrooms giving up to 35 spaces, almost all have washbasins. There are plentiful bathrooms and showers. The main meeting room is a converted chapel with wonderful views across the wildflower hay-meadow to ancient hills beyond. Other rooms include a lovely, stately living room with an open log fire, and a meditation room. Outdoor meditation spaces include a secluded tree-lined area overlooking a river named after the Celtic goddess of love, Alounae. Full board is available, vegetarian and homecooked, much of it supplied from the organic garden. Special diets are catered for. |
