There is a relaxed atmosphere in this big Georgian house set in the heart of the Lake District, in a 30-acre estate with waterfalls and formal gardens. It is mainly used by groups, but individuals are welcomed and there is no pressure to join in any activities that may be taking place. Good family and youth emphasis here. 

Open: All year except 2nd week December. Receives everyone. 

Rooms: 10 single, 15 twin-bedded, 3 triples, 5 family rooms, camping. Hostel for young people in groups- 36 beds. 

Facilities: Disabled. Conferences, camping, garden, library, guest lounge, TV, guest phone 015394 33431. Children welcome. Bookshop. 

Spiritual Help: None except by prior arrangement. 

Guests Admitted to: Everyone eats together. Traditional food. Vegetarian and special diets. DIY in hostel. Special
