Anglican The Anglican Benedictine Community of St. Mary at the Cross Convent has an atmosphere of peace which enfolds the visitor which comes as a surprise in this otherwise rushed and busy suburb of Edgware. The provision of care has long been the mission of this Community and today they welcome guests who want a retreat in tranquility not far from the heart of London. Open: All year except Holy Week and Christmas. Receives men, women, and young people. Rooms: 6 singles. Hermitage. Facilities: Conferences, garden, library, guest lounge, TV, pay phone. Bookshop. Children welcomed. Help: Personal talks, sharing in the Divine Office. Guests Admitted to: Church. Chapel. Some helpful work for the Community may be possible if you ask. Meals: Everyone eats together. All meals taken in silence. Simple food. Vegetarians and special diets catered. Special Activities: None. Situation: Quiet, in a town. Maximum Stay: 7 days.
