The Listen Centre is secluded and peaceful yet only twenty minutes or so from the centre of the city . In an acre of land with terraced gardens, various sacred spaces, all situated in the Rivelin Valley, which offers many good walks. This is also our family home so the atmosphere is warm but with some boundaries. There is well stocked spirituality and theology library open to guests. Good food, simple and home cooked. Retreat space for individuals is to enable them to make a silent and/or guided retreat. Facilities comprise single room, en suite and private chapel with a small seminar room for small group quiet days and workshops. A hermitage is available for those who wish to make a more rugged retreat. In addition to this, the Listen Centre has available a four bed roomed cottage in the Peak District village of Castleton (30 minutes from the Listen Centre), available for small group retreats and gatherings. The cottage has a sunny courtyard and small chapel. All these facilities can be booked for private use or booked as a group for a guided retreat with the Listen Centre.
