Abbey House

Abbey House is a stunning venue for retreats welcoming people of all faiths and paths.

Set in the magnificent and historic grounds of Glastonbury Abbey, the house offers a secluded, peaceful location for those in need of relaxation and spiritual nourishment.

Famous for their hospitality and good food, they can comfortably accommodate thirty four people, catering for both group and individual retreats.

Abbey House is also well set up to host events and functions including conferences, residential courses, staff training, management meetings, summer schools and social events.

All year, everyone welcome.


The House has 26 centrally heated rooms altogether - 18 single and 8 twin bedded rooms. Two of the twin rooms have en-suite facilities. Each room has a washbasin – do contact them if the proximity of bathrooms is an issue for you. Soap and towels are provided; bathrobes are available on request.

Spiritual help: 

Meditation, Prayer. The house has their own resident Chaplain, Simon Small who is available for conversations.

Guests admitted to: 

All areas, including a cellar chapel. There is a private gate with direct access to the Abbey grounds (in opening hours).
