A retreat place or a retreat course which says it practices “open spirituality” means that the place and the course are open to all forms and types of spirituality and religious belief. In practice you will probably find that the people running the retreat have distinct spiritual views with which you may agree or not. However, most do try to maintain an open mind and an open heart as to the particularly spiritual direction and journey of each retreatant. It is always helpful to telephone and discuss in more detail what is the goal of the retreat and what the content is. Explain what you think you will be seeking on going on the retreat.
